Today was my free day. I slept in and then took a walk i heard about from a friend of Becky & Steve's. From the Iris Garden Inn, I headed up the hill on the Jordan Road Pioneer Trail which passes some beautiful homes and ends up at the Jordan Historal Park.
At the historical park there was an old tractor shed, an apple barn (the Jordans had orchards) and a museum and garden as well as beautiful red rock vistas.
I loved these wildflowers growing under a rock bench.
In Sedona you see lots of statues of javelinas which look like pigs but aren't. Some time back there was a contest in town and many of the javelinas were painted and decorated to be quite colorful. This one was on the end of a bench along the sidewalk and I stopped to admire it on my way back down the hill.
This is the down-hill view, looking toward Uptown Sedona...
...and this is the view behind the motel where I'm staying.

The sun felt comfortably warm but then the wind came up and even my visor wouldn't stay on. Tomorrow is supposed to be rather chilly (as in below 70) with a chance of storms.
In the late afternoon I treated myself to a fabulous Reiki session with Laurelle and Michael, the owners of Infinite Light and Peace Place and my Reiki teachers. Can't even begin to explain how wonderful it was! After all these years of giving Reiki, it was so nice to receive it outside of class sessions.
Then I took myself to the Cowboy Club for a ceasar salad, cactus fries with prickly pear cactus sauce, and a "Rustler Margarita" (made with strawberries and OJ).
A day to relax and rejuvenate. A peaceful day. And tomorrow we begin Karuna Reiki class!
