Climate Change

It had warmed up in The Falls because it was 37 degrees (above freezing, you'll notice!) when we headed to the airport at 5:00 a.m. I dressed in capris, sandals, a very light-weight T-shirt and a light-weight hoodie. And I didn't even freeze my toes off!

Security was better than last week. I informed them I did not have a video camera in my camera bag, but they took the camera and extra lens out anyway and put them in the bin rather than back in my camera bag. That didn't take too long to fix.

My layover at MSP was less than 3 hours and I ate breakfast at Einstein's Bagels and then inadvertently took the (very) long way around to Gate G3 where I waited to board the big plane.

Everything was on schedule and the flight was uneventful. I was surprised, though, at how long we flew through thick clouds even at high altitude.

Coming into Phoenix it was sunny but hazy (air pollution and/or dust). Sky Harbor airport was much improved in the time it took to get our luggage at baggage claim. My friend Becky picked me up & whisked me off to Jack-in-the-Box for a couple monster tacos for a very late lunch!

In the evening we celebrated Steve's birthday by meeting Becky's son, daughter-in-law and adorable grandson for supper at Fazoli's - another favorite of mine.

The air conditioning is on but the heat outside wasn't overwhelming.
