Back to Sedona

Grand Adventurers

The Grand Adventure has begun! We set off from HOT Phoenix at 8:45 this morning, 44 of us plus our guide, and our bus driver.

We toured Scottsdale on our way to the freeway, then headed north, stopping to see Montezuma's Castle which is centuries old but was never home to Montezuma. Arizona has been inhabited for 15,000 years. This cliff dwelling was amazing to see!

From there we went on up to the Red Rock Canyon and stopped for photos at Bell Rock. I was delighted to finally get a GOOD shot of it!

We continued up the gorgeous canyon seeing Snoopy Rock, Cathedral Rock and many more. We had 2 and a half hours in Uptown Sedona so Mom got to experience the Cowboy Club! We shared an avocado-jack-tomato sandwich and cactus fries!

We walked up Jordan Road so Mom could see Infinite Light Healing Studies Center and Peace Place where I spent last week. She almost bought a Reiki warm-up jacket, but it was too small.

We sampled fudge in the fudge shop and watched a yard of the gorgeous, rich chocolate being made. The bus picked us up and took us to the airport for a photo op - first time I've been up there when it wasn't sunset!

Then it was off to the Kokopelli Suites where we had 2 hours to cool off and rest before going back to Uptown for dinner at a Bistro, overlooking the sunset's glow on the red rock backdrop.

Sedona is amazingly beautiful, but tomorrow the Grand Canyon will defy ALL expectations! Just hope it doesn't rain, we want to see the Canyon tomorrow night by the almost-full moon!
